When life gives you lemons, share them with your beloved ones!
Did you know that you can preserve lemon zest in the freezer for almost 8-10 months? The essential oils, aroma and taste of the lemon zest, peel and juice preserved naturally in the freezer and, as we all know, freezing stops the time.
Wash and dry fresh lemons thoroughly, use lemons from a lemon tree, (the ones in the market are waxed). Use a grater to finely grate the yellow skin, and put it in an airtight jar in the freezer. That's it!
The alternative put lemon zest in an ice cube tray. Taste leafy salads, cookies, cakes, soups, smoothies, fish dishes, baby foods, salad dressing, bars, cereals and many more.
Or use a channel knife to create lemon garnish stripes, freeze them in the same way. You can always use, from the jar the required quantity.
Squeeze the lemons that you just grated and freeze the lemon juice as well. There is no need to strain the juice The lemon juice better handled in ice cubes, and or small glass bottles, when stored in the freezer.
It is perfect to add lemon ice cubes, in soups, cocktails, salads, dressing, in hot or ice-tea. In a glass of water, infused water with herbs and fruits. Raw and cooked cake recipes. Baby foods, fish dishes, etc.
When thaw lemon juice, is preserved in the fridge, for up to 10 days.
Make a quick dressing by mixing in a glass bottle olive oil, lemon juice and zest. Shake well before use.

Mix in a bowl their favourite cereal, and nuts Hold a grater on top of the mixture and within the bowl. Grate the lemon, onto the mixture. Mix very well, use a spatula. The essential oils and zest aroma will boost the taste of cereal naturally.
